A few months ago we received a letter from the lawyers of a huge skin care giant. They meant that our brand name was too similar to one of the names of their Italian company.

After contacting a Swedish lawyer to ask if they had evidence for their accusation, we received the answer that "they have nothing to come along but you won't have the time or money to go against them in court".

This huge corporation simply doesn't like our message and therefore wants to stop us. We see this as a very good sign that we are succeeding in our vision. To fundamentally change and improve the skin care industry.

The next step was to change the company name. The question then was what we could be called. When we started reading about the history of Cannabis, we came across the name of one of our most famous Swedes ever - Carl Von Linné.

Carl Von Linné was the person who named Cannabis Sativa in his great botanical encyclopedia. This happened in 1753.

The name 1753 SKINCARE is a tribute to both Carl Von Linné and the plant that forms the basis of everything we do - Cannabis Sativa.

In addition to the name change, we have also upgraded our packaging (see image above). To celebrate the name change, we are now giving a 25% discount on I LOVE Facial Oil.
