Makeup Remover

To achieve optimal skin health it is of the utmost importance to preserve the skin's microbial diversity and not disrupt the skin's endocannabinoid system. At the same time, it is necessary to effectively remove dirt, air pollution and makeup from the skin.

Many cleaning products and makeup removers remove makeup but at the same time negatively affect the skin's natural functions. We present a solution called Au Naturel Makeup Remover.

This makeup remover works both as an effective way to remove makeup and as a gentle cleansing oil. The product contains only two ingredients: MCT (medium chain triglycerides) with molecules that are 9 carbon atoms in size and CBD (cannabidiol).

The result is an oil that effectively binds to grease, dirt and makeup, making it easy to wash off with water and cotton pads or a soft cotton towel. It's a simple solution to an otherwise challenging task and results in improved and healthier skin health.

What can you expect?

  1. A simple method for removing unwanted substances from the skin.
  2. Increased moisture in the skin.
  3. Reduced need for face oil after using the product.
  4. Improved elasticity and firmness.
  5. Preservation of skin microbial diversity and the endocannabinoid system.

Fungtastic Mushroom Extract - Welcome to a new level of health!

Chaga (25%)
Lion's Mane (25%)
Cordyceps (25%)
Reishi (25%)

Understanding the importance of the skin and body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) is truly a key to holistic health. When I realized that oral CBD is not allowed to be sold in Sweden unless it is medically classified, I began to actively search for alternative ways to support the ECS from within. My search led me to the subject of Betulinic Acid, and the most potent and effective way to extract this turned out to be from the chaga mushroom.

Chaga, a traditional medicinal mushroom, has been used for centuries for its amazing properties, with Betulinic Acid as one of its main constituents. In my research on chaga, I also came across other medicinal mushrooms such as Lion's Mane, Reishi and Cordyceps, all of which benefit the endocannabinoid system in different ways.

Then the question arose: Where can one find the absolute most potent and effective extracts of these mushrooms? The answer led me to a British man, whom we can call R, who lives in the forest in Lithuania. He has devoted almost all his time to extracting perfect mushroom extracts, mainly from chaga but also from the other medicinal mushrooms.

R, who does not want to work with big companies, has now agreed after many meetings that we can buy his high quality mushroom extract.

We call it – 1753 LIFESTYLE.

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) - Supports focus and memory

This mushroom has a long history of use in various cultures for its potential cognitive benefits. Current research indicates that Lion's Mane may help support cognitive function, memory and overall brain health. Studies suggest its ability to stimulate the production of nerve growth factor (NGF), a protein that plays an important role in the growth and maintenance of nerve cells.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) - Supports energy and physical performance
Cordyceps  was originally used in traditional Tibetan and Chinese medicine, and is known for its potential benefits for to increase energy, stamina and physical performance. It is believed to increase the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is essential for supplying energy to the muscles and improving endurance.

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) - Helps the immune system
Chaga mushrooms are rich in antioxidants, which can support the immune system. These mushrooms contain beneficial substances such as polysaccharides and beta-glucans that can regulate the immune response and promote overall health. Chaga is also known for its potential anti-inflammatory properties.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) - Supports sleep and relaxation
Reishi has a long tradition in traditional Chinese medicine and has been hailed for thousands of years for its potential to promote relaxation, improve sleep quality and support a calm state of mind. It contains bioactive substances such as triterpenes and polysaccharides, which are believed to contribute to its relaxing and adaptogenic properties.

World's Best vs Second Best Skin Care Routine

Our skin is not evolutionarily adapted for the modern lifestyle we live today. Rather, it is designed for a hunter-gatherer life, whereas most of us today live significantly differently.

The world's best skin care routine is therefore to return to the lifestyle it is adapted to: being outside in nature, swimming in lakes, eating wild plants and spending a lot of time outdoors.

But for most people, making such a drastic lifestyle change is virtually impossible. This leads to the question: 'What is the world's second best skin care routine?

The answer is not a specific serum, moisturizer or chemical peel. The solution lies in, as far as possible, creating the conditions for the skin to have the opportunity to take care of itself. Here are five ways to achieve healthy skin, with a summary followed by a more detailed explanation of each step:

  1. Sleep: Sleep 8 hours per night.
  2. Diet: Eat a varied diet and include a few tablespoons per day of homemade sauerkraut.
  3. Dietary supplements: Take daily two capsules of our medicinal mushrooms in combination with high-quality probiotics.
  4. Exercise: Take daily walks of 20-40 minutes, preferably in the woods.
  5. Skin care: Use our three CBD and CBG skin care products morning and night.
  6. Stress management: Do daily meditation for 10 minutes.

These measures form a holistic approach to skin care to support the skin's natural health and function. The result is healthy skin with luster, glow, elasticity and firmness.

  1. Sleep

There are many different guidelines for what constitutes the perfect sleep, and in addition to duration, sleep quality also affects your skin health. Currently, most researchers agree that an adult (over the age of 20) needs between 7-9 hours of continuous sleep each night.

Maintaining this standard of sleep can be challenging, especially for parents with young children. Despite this, it is important to aim for at least 7 hours of continuous sleep each night, and short power naps during the day can also be beneficial.

Here are some ways sleep positively affects our skin health:

Regeneration and recovery: During sleep, the body's production of growth hormone increases, which helps repair and regenerate skin cells. This helps restore and strengthen the skin's structure.

Reduced stress hormone: Lack of sleep can lead to increased production of stress hormones such as cortisol. High levels of cortisol can cause inflammation in the skin and worsen conditions such as acne and eczema. By getting enough sleep, you can help balance these hormone levels.

Improved moisture balance: A good night's sleep helps maintain a healthy moisture balance in the skin. During sleep, fluid loss from the skin's surface decreases, resulting in more hydrated and soft skin.

Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles: Lack of sleep can contribute to an increased appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. When the body gets enough rest and recovery, the risk of the skin's elasticity deteriorating decreases.

Reduced dark circles and puffiness: A good night's sleep can reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes and puffiness, which are common signs of sleep deprivation. This is due to improved blood circulation and regulation of the body's fluid levels.

  1. Diet: The food we consume plays a crucial role in our skin health. Unfortunately, today it is challenging to consume the type of diet that hunter-gatherers consumed. Most of today's food is sterile and depleted of the vitamins, microbes and minerals that are necessary for our health. Even organic and locally produced food suffers from a lack of nutritional content due to the depletion of the soil from its original riches.

Despite this, there are ways to include more living foods in the diet. By making your own fermented sauerkraut or kimchi, you can supply your body with the beneficial microbes it needs. Follow this sauerkraut recipe and consume a few tablespoons per day:

Sauerkraut

Ingredients:
1 head of white cabbage (approx. 1.5–2 kg)
1-2 tablespoons of sea salt (not iodized)

Equipment:

Cutting board and knife
Grater or food processor
A large bowl or bowl
Rolling pin or rolling pin
A large glass jar or pickling jar

Instructions:

Prepare the cabbage:
Wash the cabbage and remove the outermost leaves.
Cut the white cabbage into quarters and remove the tough stem.
Grate the white cabbage finely using a grater or a food processor.

Add salt:
Sprinkle sea salt over the shredded cabbage. Use about 1-2 tablespoons of salt depending on the amount of cabbage. The sea salt helps draw liquid from the cabbage and creates an environment that promotes fermentation.

Mix and mash:
Mix the cabbage and salt well.
Use a rolling pin or pestle to mash the cabbage. This helps to release more liquid and facilitates the fermentation process.

Packing in the jar:
Fill the large glass jar with the mashed white cabbage, pressing the cabbage down firmly to avoid air bubbles.
Make sure the liquid covers the cabbage. If there is not enough natural liquid from the cabbage, you can add a small amount of water.

Weight and Cover:
Place a weight (a small jar filled with water works well) over the cabbage to keep it submerged in the liquid.
Cover the jar with a clean cloth to protect the cabbage from dust and debris.

Fermentation:
Let the jar stand in a dark and warm room (about 18-22°C) for 1-2 weeks. Open the jar from time to time to release any gas that forms during fermentation.

Refrigerate:
Once the sauerkraut has reached the sour taste you desire, store it in the refrigerator to stop the fermentation process.

Now you have homemade naturally pickled sauerkraut that is excellent for the skin.

In addition to sauerkraut, it is important to consider the following when choosing a diet to promote skin health:

Vitamins and Minerals: A varied diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds provides a wide range of vitamins and minerals. For example, vitamins A, C and E as well as zinc are important to support skin regeneration, collagen production and protection against free radicals.

Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids: Foods such as fatty fish, walnuts and flaxseed oil contain omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties. These fatty acids can help reduce inflammation in the skin and improve its elasticity.

Protein: Proteins are essential for building and repairing skin tissue. Sources of protein, such as lean meats, fish, eggs and beans, help promote a strong and healthy skin structure.

Water: An increased fluid intake from water and water-rich foods helps keep the skin hydrated. Sufficient hydration is important to maintain elasticity and softness in the skin.

Antioxidants: Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, such as flavonoids and carotenoids, which help protect the skin from free radical damage. These substances can help prevent signs of aging and promote healthy skin.

  1. Dietary supplements

Even with a very varied diet, today's locally grown and organic food can lack certain vitamins, minerals and microbes. Therefore, it can be beneficial to add some extra substances to the body. For our skin health, it is above all beneficial to take Probiotics (good bacteria) and Prebiotics (food for good bacteria) and Medicinal mushrooms.

Probiotics

  • Balances the intestinal flora: Probiotics, or good bacteria, contribute to balancing the natural intestinal flora. A healthy gut flora is linked to overall immune function and regulates inflammatory responses.
  • Reduces inflammation: By regulating the intestinal flora, probiotics can help reduce inflammation in the body. Reduced inflammation can have a positive effect on skin conditions such as acne, eczema and other inflammatory skin problems.
  • Improves nutrient absorption: A healthy gut flora helps break down and absorb nutrients efficiently, supporting the skin's regeneration process and improving the skin's appearance.
  • Protects against harmful bacteria: Probiotics compete with harmful bacteria for places and resources in the gut, reducing the growth of potentially harmful bacteria that can affect both gut health and skin health.

Prebiotics

  • Provides nutrition for probiotics: Prebiotics are long-chain sugars which act as food for good microbes. By consuming prebiotics, you can support the growth and survival of the good bacteria in the gut.
  • Improves gut health: Prebiotics promote a healthy gut environment by stimulating the growth of beneficial bacteria, which is linked to reduced risk of inflammation and other health problems.
  • Increases nutrient absorption: Prebiotics can help increase the absorption of minerals and other nutrients in the gut, which in turn supports skin health.

Medicinal mushrooms

The medicinal mushrooms chaga, reishi, lion's mane and cordyceps have a long tradition of use across cultures for their potential health benefits. These fungi can also positively affect skin health. Here is a brief description of how each mushroom can benefit skin health:

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus):

  • Antioxidant action: Chaga is rich in antioxidants, especially beta-glucans and polyphenols. These compounds can help fight free radicals and protect skin cells against oxidative stress.
  • Anti-inflammatory properties: Chaga has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body, which can be beneficial for skin conditions such as acne or redness.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum):

  • Adaptogenic Properties: Reishi is considered an adaptogen, meaning it can help the body adapt and deal with stress. Stress management is important to prevent or reduce skin problems related to stress.
  • Immune strengthening: Reishi can strengthen the immune system, which is important for maintaining healthy skin and preventing infections.

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus):

  • Nervous System Support: Lion's Mane is known to have neuroprotective properties and can support the nervous system. A healthy nervous system can contribute to healthy skin and reduce the risk of skin problems linked to nerve-related stress.
  • Improves collagen production: Lion's Mane can stimulate collagen production, which is essential for skin elasticity and structure.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis):

  • Increased energy and circulation: Cordyceps is said to increase energy levels and improve circulation. Good blood circulation can support the skin's supply of nutrients and the elimination of waste products.
  • Adaptogenic properties: As an adaptogen, cordyceps can help the body adapt to stress and thereby reduce the risk of stress-related skin problems.

    Training

Our life as hunter-gatherers involved constant movement and we walked long distances every day. Although today's modern life does not allow for hours of long walks, daily exercise remains essential to achieving optimal skin health and overall well-being.

Here are some positive ways in which regular exercise can affect the skin:

Increased circulation: Exercise stimulates blood circulation, which improves the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells. This promotes cell renewal and contributes to healthy skin.

Reduced stress and inflammation: Physical activity can reduce levels of stress hormones and inflammation in the body. Long-term stress and inflammation are linked to skin problems such as acne and eczema.

Improved sleep quality: Regular exercise can improve sleep quality, which is important for skin regeneration and recovery and positively affects skin appearance and elasticity.

Sweating and cleansing: Sweat during exercise acts as a natural cleansing mechanism for the pores and removes impurities from the skin. However, it is important to wash your face after exercise to avoid sweat drying and clogging the pores.

Increased collagen production: Exercise can stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that gives structure and elasticity to the skin. This can help reduce the risk of wrinkles and fine lines.

Better skin tone and glow: Improved blood circulation and increased oxygen supply can give the skin a healthier and more radiant tone. Exercise helps maintain a youthful glow.

Weight regulation: Regular physical activity can help regulate body weight, which is linked to skin elasticity and can affect the appearance of the skin.

Better management of skin problems: Exercise has been shown to be beneficial for people with certain skin problems, such as psoriasis. Although results vary, exercise can help reduce the severity of some skin conditions.

Skincare

Our skin is a sensitive ecosystem that normally has the ability to take care of itself. However, due to various internal and external influencing factors in modern society, our skin's complex ecosystem has been disrupted. To restore the balance, we need to assist the ecosystem instead of temporarily improving the appearance of the skin. Only use skin care products that contain substances already present in the skin or that support the skin's own ability to regenerate.

The most critical to the skin's ecosystem is the endocannabinoid system. By maintaining a balanced level of endocannabinoids, other aspects of skin health can also regain their equilibrium. Therefore, integrate Cannabidiol (CBD) and Cannabigerol (CBG) to bring balance to this system.

Stress Management

In today's society, high stress levels are one of the main challenges. Excessive stress can negatively affect skin health in several ways. Here are some ways that stress can affect the skin:

Increased production of stress hormones:
Stress triggers the release of cortisol and other stress hormones. High levels of cortisol can result in increased sebum production and decreased sebum quality in the skin,  which increases the risk of acne.

Inflammation in the skin:
Stress can increase the overall inflammation in the body, which can also affect the skin negatively. Inflammation is linked to various skin problems such as redness, sensitivity and acne.

Reduced Healing Ability:
Prolonged stress can inhibit the body's natural ability to heal and repair itself, prolonging the healing process of wounds and blemishes.

Reduced collagen production:
Stress can affect the production of collagen, the protein that gives structure to the skin. Low collagen levels can result in an increased risk of wrinkles and decreased elasticity.

Exacerbated skin conditions:
People with existing skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis may experience worsening symptoms during periods of stress.

Increased risk of infections:
Stress can weaken the immune system, making the body more susceptible to infections. Skin infections such as pimples and rashes can become more common with prolonged stress.

Managing and reducing stress levels is therefore essential, not only for overall well-being but also for achieving optimal and healthy skin health. Relaxation techniques, meditation, power naps and other stress management strategies play an important role in maintaining healthy skin.

By making these lifestyle choices, you will notice a significant improvement in your skin health within three months. You will experience increased radiance, elasticity, firmness and a natural glow that surpasses what any skin care in the world can offer.

Bonus tip:  Swim in the lake and sea all year round!

Winter bathing has become a hot topic, and its benefits for the skin are many:

  • Encounter with microbes in the sea/lake
Hunter-gatherers washed only in water from sea or lake. Uncontaminated sea and lake water contains a variety of microbes that strengthen and build up the skin's ecosystem.
  • Improved circulation
Cold water stimulates blood circulation, improves oxygen and nutrient flow to the skin and promotes skin health.
  • Reduced inflammation
Cold water has anti-inflammatory effects that can relieve redness and swelling of the skin.
  • Strengthened immune system
Exposure to cold activates the immune system and increases the production of white blood cells, which protects the skin against inflammation.
  • Increased production of endorphins
Winter swimming, especially in natural bodies of water such as ice floes, stimulates the production of endorphins - the body's own "feel-good" hormones. This reduces stress and improves overall well-being, which positively affects skin health.
  • Improved moisture level
Cold water helps close pores and reduces moisture loss from the skin. This is especially beneficial during the winter months when the air is often dry.

You are now well on your way to healthy skin. We look forward to following your skin journey!

Sincerely,

Christopher & Ebba Genberg
