CBG - The world's best skin care ingredient?
If you want to achieve optimal skin health, CBG is probably the world's best skin care ingredient. CBG (Cannabigerol) is called the "Mother of All Cannabinoids" and helps your skin's endocannabinoid system to come into balance.
To understand the greatness of CBG, we need to briefly review how our skin's endocannabinoid system works.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) consists of three different parts.
Receptors
We have at least 3 different receptors (CB1, CB2 and TRPV4) found in every part of our skin. Every skin cell, sebaceous gland, sweat gland, melanocyte etc.m have at least one of these receptors. These receptors can be likened to padlocks that must be constantly locked and unlocked for the skin to be healthy. Our receptors affect b.la the cell renewal process, sebum production, sweat production, hyaluronic acid production, microbial diversity, the immune system and much more.
Endocannabinoids
The keys to the padlocks are called endocannabinoids and are produced naturally by the skin when they are needed. These keys are absolutely necessary for our ECS to be in balance and for our skin to be healthy.
Enzymes
Finally, we have enzymes that remove the keys when they are no longer needed.
As long as our skin produces enough keys, all is well, the skin is balanced, non-inflamed with as few signs of aging as possible.
But. Unfortunately, our western lifestyle has contributed to us losing our ability to produce enough keys. This leads to a number of different negative skin conditions and skin inflammations.
This is where CBG comes into play. CBG is an identical copy of the keys (endocannabinoids) that our skin itself produces. Therefore, if we do not have enough endocannabinoids to bring the skin's ECS into balance, CBG can come in and act as keys to our skin's padlock.
The result is healthier skin with more elasticity and firmness, more glow and a lower risk of inflammation.
This is an ingredient that, in combination with CBD, produces results in the skin that you have never experienced before.
When we developed our first facial oil (The ONE Facial Oil), we added the maximum amount of CBG you could have in a skin care product. This was 0.2%. After selling about 2.000 oils in 4 months, so the words of praise poured in. However, we noticed that an estimated 30% of people who used the oil needed to add a moisturizer over the oil to get enough moisture.
Our idea then was to find an endocannabinoid-friendly way to make the skin itself produce a lot of moisture. Quickly. After reading a number of studies, the conclusion was that the solution was a higher level of CBG. We then ordered 20 oils with 5% CBG which we then distributed to customers who had not received enough moisture with The ONE Facial Oil. Basically everyone got the effect they wanted from the new oil.
Now the next challenge appeared. It was neither legal nor illegal in the EU to use such a high amount of CBG in a skin care product. Since no one had done it before, there were no clear regulations.
We therefore turned to a Dutch company that specializes in legislation with phytocannabinoids. When we described our idea, they were extremely skeptical. However, they took on the task and 4 days ago (6 days before the launch of the new oil) we received EU approval to sell this new product. It is a fantastic product that has no global counterpart. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
