Vårt moderna levnadssätt... - Floranie Skincare

In 2050, it is estimated that two-thirds of all the world's people will live in urban environments with very little or no contact with nature. Along with this urbanization, the number of cases of chronic inflammatory diseases will increase radically. Allergies and autoimmune diseases will make up a large portion of these conditions. We will most likely also see a huge increase in inflammatory skin conditions.

This means that we will see a very large increase in e.g. acne and eczema. In addition, inflamed skin ages twice as fast as healthy skin.

What can we then do to counteract this extremely negative development?

A recent study from Finland shows that a solution to counteract this rapidly escalating situation is that people must spend more time in nature. Greater exposure to nature (and its microbes) will reduce the risk of, among other things, autoimmune diseases.

The dilemma is that the vast majority of people in the Western world do not want to make the life-changing change required to live a more traditional life. If you don't want to move out into the forest and live as a hunter-gatherer, then the next-best solution is instead to bring nature (and its microbes) to you who live in an urban society. We need to start eating foods that contain a greater microbial diversity (suggested fermented food) and apply skin care that favors the skin's microbial diversity instead of counteracting it.

Time and time again, the modern skin care industry is found to be one of the main culprits behind the increased number of inflammatory skin conditions… We need to radically change the way we view skin and skin care…

Einstein wisely said it…

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you want to achieve different results, do then don't the same thing.”
